Would love to share with you this story about a wonderful Russian tradition...............

 Butter Week, Pancake week or Cheesefare Week, is a Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian religious and folk holiday. It is celebrated during the last week before Great Lent—that is, the seventh week before Pascha (Easter).

"meat-empty week" or "meat-fast week"). It is the last week during which milk, cheese and other dairy products are permitted, leading to its other name of "Cheese-fare week" or 'Pancake week.

Recipe for pancakes useful to Natalia Vodianova:
- Beat 3 eggs with 250 ml of semi-skimmed milk
- Add 2 tablespoons heaped tablespoons of barley flour, adding a little olive oil for softness
- Fry in a pan with non-stick coating.
