''Beautiful tradition sharing of Love''***and my little guardian Angel...

Hello,my darlings!-)*

Today I wil share with all of you my Love for creativity,Love for beauty,Love for life and Love for all of you,my enchanted friends from these amazing Blogland world!-)*
This story is about very old Russian and Ukrainian tradition***
A ''pysanka'' (Ukrainian: писанка, plural: pysanky) is a Ukrainian Easter egg, decorated using a wax-resist (batik) method. The word comes from the verb pysaty, "to write", as the designs are not painted on, but written with beeswax.
And truly, that item inspired me long time ago and time to time I maked ''pysanky'' for my familie and my lovely friends as a gift!-)
*As sharing of Love***

Many superstitions were attached to pysanky. Pysanky were thought to protect households from evil spirits, catastrophe, lightning and fires. Pysanky with spiral motifs were the most powerful, as the demons and other unholy creatures would be trapped within the spirals forever. A blessed pysanka could be used to find demons hidden in the dark corners of your house.

Pysanky are typically made to be given to family members and respected outsiders. To give a pysanka is to give a symbolic gift of life, which is why the egg must remain whole.

Furthermore, each of the designs and colors on the pysanka is likely to have a deep, symbolic meaning. Traditionally, pysanky designs are chosen to match the character of the person to whom the pysanka is to be given. Typically, pysanky are displayed prominently in a public room of the house.

Here you can see it!-)*
Great designers were inspired too about these very special item of Easter eggs and really exquisite prints placed on the own creations! The are whimsical, isn't it?!-)***
I wish all of you ,my dear, dear Ladies beautiful, sunny and very blessed Easter days with many, many little things those make us happier, little tuches of Love!!!-)))*Much smiles, heartwarmly hugs and simply Love!***

Maybe you notest that I'm from East Europe like you. I'm from Romania(Half half german/romanian)
So we colour the eggs like that too:) But this year I will keep it simple and natural. I will use onion shells and tea bags to colour and vinegar to seal it. But I really miss those beautiful eggs. What about you ? Love your post
It'smy 1st Easter here in NZ.

My darling Violetta, what a sweet post!!! I born in Latvia and know this very old tradition as well:)) When I was still there, we dyed eggs one day before Easter and next day all family tried who has the strongest egg:) I don't know if it's correct translation, but we call this process "битва яйцами". In Latvia people not just dye eggs for decoration, it's a important part of Easter breakfast. So all beaten eggs must eat!!:))) And tradition says: "Must eat Eggs with salt, then you will not lie this year" or another funny tradition - if you teeter (качаться на качелях)in the Easter day, all summer mosquitoes will stay away from you:))

Here in Portugal nobody dyes Easter eggs, people like eggs from chocolate and nuts:) And here I can't find white eggs, too... The white eggs are the best to dye!

Darling Violetta, I wish you sunny, warm, happy and peaceful Easter!

Much love,
